Edinburgh University Calls for AI Pioneers: Can You Contribute to a Better World?
Edinburgh University's esteemed AI Accelerator programme is now open for applications, beckoning technology innovators from Scotland and beyond to be a part of its eighth cohort. Established as a platform to drive ‘AI for good', the initiative supports businesses that leverage AI to deliver societal benefits spanning key areas such as health and wellbeing, social care, and climate challenge.
Up to 16 companies will be chosen to participate in the accelerator programme spanning from September 2024 to March 2025. The successful applicants will gain the opportunity to bolster their commercial potential with guidance on investment strategy, engagement with potential investors, business scaling workshops, among other benefits.
The programme, which stands proudly in its fifth year, has already fostered globally-focused businesses such as Space Intelligence, a climate monitoring solution provider, Inicio.AI, a startup that streamlines business debt management, and Carcinotech, an Edinburgh-based cancer research company that has raised over £4m to develop its 3D printed micro-tumour technology.
Equipped with the powerhouse of the University's world-renowned Bayes Centre, the Innovation Hub for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Edinburgh's AI Accelerator delivers unparalleled value for participating companies and their journey to global success.
