ChatGPT took home the lion's share with 69.8% of mentions, followed by Gemini at 14%. Claude secured its place in the top three with 5.3% of mentions. Worth noting, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude didn't just excel in their performance; they became favorites by capturing the community's imagination.
ChatGPT had the advantage of being the first mover, and its status was further boosted by continuous updates, including the release of GPT-4 Turbo. Gemini's popularity is believed to be propelled by its integration with Apple's technology, while Claude, the safety-focused AI, made a mark with the launch of Claude 3 Opus in March 2024.
